About me

Hi, this is Yuhang Gan, a third-year CSE Ph.D. student at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), working with Prof. Chen Qian. Before coming to Santa Cruz, I got my Bachelor’s Degree from Nanjing University, China, working with Prof. Wei Wang.

Research Interests

I am interested in emerging computer networks and systems. Specifically, I am trying to build network systems and protocol stacks for quantum networks and robust and flexible 5G edge data center systems.
Here is my Resume and CV if you are interested.

Education

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, University of California, Santa Cruz, 2021 - Present
  • B.S. in Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University, 2017-2021

Interests

  • Symphony/clarinet: I learned clarinet since eight years old and served as the second-chair clarinet in the NJU’s symphony orchestra for one year.
  • Snowboarding: The life of a Ph.D. student is always busy, during the snow season, my friend and I would leave SC at 4am, drive 4.5 hours to Tahoe, skiing and snowboarding, and then drive another 4.5 hours back to SC on the same day to complete a daytrip!
